Walking
Start at the Lamu Old Town entrance, which is marked by the main archway. From here, head straight down the narrow, winding streets of Lamu Old Town. Keep an eye out for signs or locals who can help guide you. After a few minutes, you will reach the Lamu Museum on your left. Continue walking past the museum, and then take the first right turn. This will lead you towards the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront until you see the large stone structure of Lamu Fort ahead of you. The fort is located near the main square, it's hard to miss.

If you are at the Lamu Waterfront, face the sea and walk towards the right along the coast. You will pass by several shops and cafés. Continue walking until you reach a junction where you can either go left or right; take the left path. You'll soon see the fort's high walls rising above the rest of the buildings. Follow this path straight until you find the entrance to Lamu Fort, which may be marked by a sign.

If you are coming from Manda Island or another nearby location by boat, ask the captain to drop you off at the Lamu Old Town jetty. Once you arrive, disembark and head straight towards the main entrance of Lamu Old Town. From the entrance, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Lamu Fort.
