Once you arrive in Nanyuki, look for the signposts indicating the Equator Marker. The marker is located at coordinates X3XC+V4J, which is just a few kilometers south of Nanyuki town. Parking is available nearby, and be prepared for a small fee if you use a designated parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach the Equator Marker using public transportation, first, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Loita Plains to Nanyuki. The journey typically takes about an hour. Once in Nanyuki, you can either walk or take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to the Equator Marker. The boda boda will cost you around 100-200 KES (Kenyan Shillings) for the short ride. Ensure to negotiate the price before you start your journey.
Walking
