Bicycle
Start from the center of Malindi. Head northeast on Casuarina Road towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Mombasa-Malindi Road (A14). Turn left onto A14 and cycle for about 6 kilometers. Look for signs leading to Watamu. Turn right onto Watamu Road and continue for about 3 kilometers. Gede National Monument will be on your left, just off Watamu Road. Follow the signs to the entrance.
Walking
From Malindi town center, head towards the beach along Casuarina Road. Walk along the beach road until you reach the junction with Mombasa-Malindi Road (A14). Cross over to the left side of A14 and continue walking for approximately 6 kilometers until you see the turnoff for Watamu Road. Turn right onto Watamu Road and walk for another 3 kilometers. Gede National Monument will be on your left, accessible by a short walk from the main road.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From Malindi town, look for a matatu heading to Watamu. They typically depart from the main bus stop near the market. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Gede. After approximately 15-20 minutes, the matatu will stop near the entrance to Gede National Monument. Exit the matatu and follow the signs to the entrance of the monument.
