Car
To reach JCT from the main entrance of Marsabit National Park, take the road heading towards the Marsabit town center. Drive approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to the JCT coordinates (8XCR+XX2). The area is well-signposted, but it is advisable to use a GPS for precise navigation. The road can be rough in some sections, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions. There may be an entrance fee for the park, typically ranging from KES 1,000 to KES 2,000 per person.
Public Transportation
If traveling by public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Marsabit town to the nearest drop-off point towards the direction of JCT. Look for matatus headed to 'Junction' or 'Laisamis' as they pass close to the area. The fare is around KES 100 to KES 200. Once you get dropped off, it will be necessary to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the specific location of JCT. Be prepared for a bit of a trek, and consider hiring a local guide if you are unsure of the directions.
