Car
If you are traveling by car within Mount Elgon National Park, head towards the area near the Lwanda rocks, which can be accessed via well-maintained park roads. Start from the park headquarters in Kapkota. Drive along the main park road, following the signs towards the Lwanda region. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take the left turn towards Lwanda rocks. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near Lwanda rocks. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as some sections may be bumpy.

For those using public transportation, your journey will begin in the nearest town, Mbale. From Mbale, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) to the Mount Elgon National Park entrance.
