If you are traveling by car from Nanyuki, take the Nanyuki-Meru road (B5) heading southeast. After approximately 26 kilometers, you will reach the Timau area. Look for the sign indicating the equator point. Turn left onto the road marked with 'Equator Point Timau' and follow the road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the equator point located at coordinates X7X2+XQ, Timau. To reach Equator Point Timau using public transportation, catch a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Timau. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and costs around 100-150 KES. Once you arrive in Timau, you can either walk or hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the equator point, which is approximately a 3 km ride. The boda boda fare should be around 100-200 KES.
