Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Nanyuki town. Head southeast on the Nanyuki-Nairobi road (A2) for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction at Timau. Turn left onto the Timau-Meru road (B5) and continue for about 18 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Kahurura. Once you reach Kahurura village, follow the local roads toward the coordinates X42C+Q3W. Ensure your vehicle has sufficient fuel as there are limited fuel stations in the area. Parking may be available near the waterfall entrance.
Public Transport
To reach Huku waterfall using public transport, start from Nanyuki town. Take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Meru. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Kahurura. The fare is typically around 200 KES. Once you arrive in Kahurura, you may need to hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the waterfall's location, which may cost around 100-200 KES depending on the distance and negotiation.
Walking/Hiking
Once you reach the vicinity of Huku waterfall, if you are up for an adventure, you may need to hike the last segment to the waterfall. Be prepared for a short trek through natural terrain. Ensure you have suitable hiking shoes and water. The hike from the nearest drop-off point will take about 15-30 minutes depending on your pace.
