Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Mount Longonot National Park. Head east on the main park road leading towards the crater. After about 2 kilometers, look for a sign indicating the trail to First Valley Viewpoint. Park in the designated area near the trailhead. From there, follow the marked path for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the viewpoint. Be aware that the road may include rough patches, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

To reach First Valley Viewpoint using public transport, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Naivasha town to Longonot town. Upon arriving in Longonot, you can hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the entrance of Mount Longonot National Park. The ride should cost around 200 KES. Once at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee of approximately 300 KES for locals or 1,500 KES for non-residents. After entering, follow the main road for about 2 kilometers to the trailhead for First Valley Viewpoint. Walk the remaining 1.5 kilometers along the marked path to reach your destination.
