If you are driving from the center of Mount Longonot, head east on the Main Road (A104) towards Naivasha. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the turnoff to Gichiengo. Turn left onto the road marked towards Gichiengo. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the direction to Gichiengo Dam. The dam is located at the coordinates 3J5C+QGV, Gichiengo. Be mindful of local traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Mount Longonot to Naivasha. The fare is typically around 50-100 Kenyan Shillings. Once you arrive in Naivasha, you can find another matatu heading towards Gichiengo. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Gichiengo Dam. The second leg of the journey may cost about 30-50 Kenyan Shillings. After getting off, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the dam, following any local directions you can gather.
