Public Bus
If you are in the city center, head to the Kencom bus station. Look for buses heading towards Lang'ata. The bus fare is usually around 50 KES. Once you board, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Bomas of Kenya. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop near the entrance of Bomas of Kenya, which is well marked.
Matatu (Shared Minibus)
From Nairobi city center, go to the Kencom stage or the Railway Station stage. Look for a matatu heading to Lang'ata or directly to Bomas of Kenya. The fare is around 50 KES. When you board, be sure to confirm with the driver or conductor that they are going to Bomas of Kenya. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. You will be dropped off close to the entrance of Bomas of Kenya.
Walking from the nearest bus stop
If you arrive at the nearest bus stop to Bomas of Kenya, exit the bus and walk towards Lang'ata Road. Follow the road signs directing you to Bomas of Kenya. It is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. You will see the entrance of Bomas of Kenya on your left.
Bicycle Rental
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city center. Head towards Lang'ata via Uhuru Highway and then take a left onto Lang'ata Road. Follow the road signs to Bomas of Kenya. The distance is about 7 kilometers and should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
