Public Bus
If you are in the city center, head to the Kencom bus station. Look for a bus heading towards 'Ngara' or 'Haile Selassie Avenue'. The fare is generally around KES 50-100. Once on the bus, enjoy the ride for about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the Haile Selassie Avenue stop. From there, walk towards Lunar Park, which should be a 10-minute walk straight along Haile Selassie Avenue. The entrance will be on your left.
Matatu
From anywhere in Nairobi, you can catch a matatu (shared minibus) heading to 'Ngara' or 'Kilimani'. The matatus are usually found at designated stages. Pay attention to the route numbers displayed on the front windshield. The fare should be around KES 50. Once you reach Haile Selassie Avenue, get off at the nearest stop and walk for about 10 minutes to reach Lunar Park. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the park.
Walking
If you are already in the Kilimani or Starehe area, you can easily walk to Lunar Park. Use your smartphone or a map to navigate to 'Lunar Park Starehe, Haile Selassie Ave'. It’s approximately a 15-20 minute walk depending on your starting point. Look for the park entrance, which is identifiable by its colorful signage.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
For a quicker option, consider using a boda boda. These motorcycle taxis are readily available throughout Nairobi. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around KES 100-200 from nearby areas. Inform the rider to take you to 'Lunar Park, Haile Selassie Avenue'.
