If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, such as Marsabit. From Marsabit, head northwest on the A2 highway towards North Horr. After approximately 150 km, you will reach North Horr. Continue on the A2 for about another 80 km until you reach the junction at the town of Loiyangalani. Turn left onto the road heading towards Lake Turkana. Drive for about 50 km to reach the shores of Lake Turkana. From there, you will need a boat to reach Central Island National Park. Ensure you arrange for a boat ride in advance, as it is the only way to access the park. Boat rides may cost between KES 2,000 to KES 5,000 depending on the operator.
