Car
From any location in Samburu Region, head towards the A2 Road, which is the main highway running through the area. If you're coming from the town of Maralal, take the A2 road towards the southeast. Keep driving until you reach the junction for the Shaba National Reserve entrance, which is approximately 45 km from Maralal. Follow the signs to Shaba National Reserve, and continue driving for about 10 km until you see the entrance to Sarova Shaba Game Lodge on your left. The lodge is located off the A2 Road, along the Ewaso Ngiro River, and should be well-marked.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Maralal to Isiolo. Matatus frequently leave from the Maralal bus station. The journey to Isiolo will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Isiolo, you can catch another matatu heading towards Shaba National Reserve. Ensure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. The total cost for the journey from Maralal to Isiolo is around KES 300, and from Isiolo to the lodge, it may cost around KES 200.
