Car Rental
If you are driving from Nanyuki, take the A2 highway towards Isiolo. After approximately 100 km, turn onto the C77 road towards Samburu National Reserve. Continue for about 45 km until you reach the entrance of Samburu National Reserve. From the entrance, follow the signs to Samburu Intrepids, which is located at HFGR+WX6. The total driving time should be around 3-4 hours, and make sure to have a local map or GPS device for accurate navigation.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Nanyuki, board a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Isiolo. This journey will take about 2-3 hours, and the fare typically ranges from 300-500 KES. Once in Isiolo, transfer to another matatu heading towards Samburu National Reserve. This leg of the trip will take approximately 1-2 hours and may cost around 200-300 KES. Upon arrival at the reserve entrance, you can hire a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you to Samburu Intrepids (approximately 30 minutes' drive). Ensure to have some cash for the matatu fares and for the entrance fee to the reserve.
