Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Watamu, head southeast on the main road (Malindi-Watamu Road). Continue on this road until you reach the junction near the Watamu Marine National Park. • Public Transportation (Matatu)

  To reach the Float trip launch using public transport, find a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Malindi or Watamu Marine National Park. Matatus frequently depart from various points in Watamu. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to the marine park. From the junction, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer towards the Float trip launch location. Stay aware of your surroundings and follow the signs that point you toward the water activities. The fare for the matatu is typically around 50-100 Kenyan Shillings.

• Walking

  If you're already near the Watamu Marine National Park, you can walk to the Float trip launch. Start from the entrance of the park and follow the path that leads towards the beach area.
