Getting there

Car

If you're driving, start from the center of Watamu. Head southeast on Jacaranda Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Mombasa-Malindi Highway (A3). Turn left and follow the highway for approximately 5 km. Look for signs for Garoda Beach, and turn onto the access road leading to the beach area. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 200 KES.

Public Transport (Matatu)

To reach Garoda Beach via public transport, locate the nearest matatu stage in Watamu. Take a matatu heading towards Malindi and inform the driver you want to stop at Garoda Beach. The fare is usually about 50-100 KES. You'll be dropped off near the entrance to the beach, from where you may need to walk a short distance (approximately 500 meters) to the beach itself.

Walking

If you're staying nearby, you can walk to Garoda Beach. From the main road in Watamu, head towards Jacaranda Road. Continue to follow the road until you reach the beachfront. It’s a pleasant walk of about 2 km from the center of Watamu. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if it's a hot day.
