From Ferizaj, head to the main bus station located in the city center. Look for buses heading towards Skopje. Purchase a ticket to Skopje, which should take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus station in Skopje, exit the station and look for bus number 60 or 65 that goes towards Matka Canyon. Make sure to ask the bus driver if they stop at Matka Canyon. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Matka Canyon stop, and from there, the trailhead is a short walk away.

You can easily find a taxi in Ferizaj. Request a taxi to take you to Matka Canyon. The driver will understand the destination as it is a popular tourist location. The trip will take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.

Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Ferizaj. Once you have your bike, take the road leading out of the city towards Skopje. Follow the signs for Matka Canyon. It is roughly a 30 km ride, so prepare for a moderate cycling challenge. The trailhead will be signposted once you get closer to the canyon.
