Getting There

• Bus

  From anywhere in Hawalli, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take Bus Number 13 or 15 towards the city center. Make sure to ask the bus driver if you're unsure, as they can guide you. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Sharq' area, which is a central location in Kuwait City. Once you get off, the Maritime Museum is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Head east on Ahmad Al-Jaber Street until you reach the intersection with Ali Al-Salem Street. Turn left and continue straight for about 500 meters. The museum will be on your right.

  If you are close to the seaside area in Hawalli, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to the Maritime Museum. Start at the Al-Bida'a Park along the waterfront, walking east along the shoreline. Follow the coast until you reach the end of the park. From there, head inland towards the intersection of Al-Bida'a Street and Doha Street. Continue walking on Doha Street until you reach the traffic lights. Cross the intersection and follow the signs that will lead you towards the Sharq district. The museum is approximately a 30-minute walk from the park.

  For a quicker route, you can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Hawalli. Just tell the driver 'Maritime Museum in Sharq.' It’s a well-known destination, so they should know where to go. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis in Kuwait are quite affordable, and you can pay in cash or via card. Make sure to have your hotel address handy in case you need to return.
