Souq Al-Mubarakiya stands as one of Kuwait's most enduring landmarks, established over 120 years ago and named after Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, founder of modern Kuwait. Originally centered around a small kiosk that served as a diwan for community affairs and Kuwait's first court, it evolved into a thriving trade hub before the oil era, connecting merchants from India, Iraq, Oman, and Africa. The souq endured damage from the 1990 Iraqi invasion and a major 2022 fire but has been meticulously restored, blending tradition with modern enhancements like LED lighting.

Wander through specialized sections including the gold souq with intricate jewelry, perfume markets fragrant with oud and musk, spice stalls overflowing with vibrant colors, and fresh produce areas selling fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, dates, and honey.
