Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Jalal-Abad city, head east on A367 for about 60 km. You will pass through the town of Kyzyl-Kiya. Continue straight until you reach the turn-off to Tash Rabat, which is well marked. Follow the signs for another 15 km on a gravel road that leads directly to Tash Rabat. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last stretch may involve bumpy roads.

    From Jalal-Abad city, take a shared taxi (marshrutka) heading towards Naryn. You’ll need to ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection for Tash Rabat, which is about 60 km from Jalal-Abad. This leg of the journey will cost approximately 100-150 KGS. From the intersection, you can either hitchhike or walk approximately 15 km to Tash Rabat. Note that walking may take about 3-4 hours, so plan accordingly.
