Walking
From the center of Kochkor, head east on the main road towards the village of Besh-Tash. You will walk past the local market and the post office on your right-hand side. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto the road leading towards Boom Gorge. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass by beautiful landscapes and several small farms. Look for signs that indicate Boom Gorge. Once you reach the entrance to Boom Gorge, you will see a parking area and some informational signs. The gorge is easily accessible on foot from here.
Public Transport (Minibus)
From the central bus station in Kochkor, take any minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Besh-Tash or Boom Gorge. The fare is minimal (usually around 20-30 som). Inform the driver that you want to get off at Boom Gorge. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes. When you arrive, you will be dropped off near the entrance to the gorge. From there, it's a short walk to the main viewing area of Boom Gorge.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a more active way to get to Boom Gorge, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kochkor. Head east out of the town towards Besh-Tash, following the same path as mentioned for walking. The ride is approximately 5 kilometers along a well-maintained road. Once you reach the entrance to Boom Gorge, you can park your bike in the designated area. Remember to bring water and wear appropriate cycling gear for a comfortable journey.
