Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading east from Naryn city on the A365 highway. Follow the signs towards Tashkent until you reach the intersection near the Chunkurchak turnoff. Turn onto the road leading towards Chunkurchak and continue for about 15 kilometers. You will see signs for Chunkurchak gorge. The gorge entrance is located at HHXJ+62F, Chunkurchak. Make sure to have a map or GPS device as the road may not be well-marked.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a marshrutka (shared taxi) from Naryn to Chunkurchak. These typically depart from the main bus station in Naryn. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Chunkurchak, you may need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the gorge entrance. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off close to the gorge.
Hiking
If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to hike, you can start from the nearest village to Chunkurchak. Follow local trails that lead up towards the gorge. It is advisable to take a local guide if you are unfamiliar with the area, and it may incur a small fee for their services.
