Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Attapeu town. Head southeast on Road 16B towards Phouvong district. Continue on this road for approximately 35 kilometers. Watch for signs directing you to Krongdeung Waterfall. Upon reaching Phouvong, you will find a sign indicating the turn-off to the waterfall. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you arrive at the parking area for Krongdeung Waterfall. Parking is usually free, but check for any local fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin at the Attapeu bus station. Look for a minibus heading towards Phouvong. The fare is typically around 10,000 LAK (Lao Kip). The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Phouvong, you may need to hire a local tuk-tuk to take you the remaining 5 kilometers to Krongdeung Waterfall. Agree on a fare beforehand; it should be around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK. The tuk-tuk ride will take about 15 minutes.
Motorbike Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorbike from one of the rental shops in Attapeu. Rentals typically cost between 50,000 to 100,000 LAK per day. From the town, take Road 16B southeast towards Phouvong district. The journey is about 35 kilometers, and you should follow the same directions as for cars. Make sure to wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be winding and rural.
