If you have a car, start your journey from the capital of Bokeo Province, Pak Beng. Drive south on Route 2 until you reach the junction with Route 13. Continue south on Route 13 for approximately 200 km. You will pass through several towns including Huay Xai and then cross the Mekong River via the Friendship Bridge into Vientiane. Once in Vientiane, follow the signs to Pha That Luang. The site is located in the Xaysettha District, approximately 5 km from the city center. Make sure to have some local currency (Lao Kip) for parking fees which can be around 10,000 to 20,000 LAK.
