Getting There

Bicycle
From the center of Champasak, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head east towards Route 13 and follow it for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 18. Turn left onto Route 18 and continue for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Sae Pong Lai Waterfall. After about 5 more kilometers, you will see a small road branching off to the right; take this road. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the waterfall entrance. Be prepared for some bumpy terrain!

Find a tuk-tuk stand in Champasak and negotiate a fare to take you to Sae Pong Lai Waterfall. The driver will take you along Route 13 and then onto Route 18. After approximately 15 kilometers, the driver will turn onto the small road that leads directly to the waterfall. The journey should take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
