Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Houaphanh Province, start your journey from the provincial capital, Sam Neua. Head east on Route 6, driving for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to ຂົວນ້ຳນ້ອຍ, which is located near ບ້ານວຽງຄຳ. Follow the signs to the FV3H+3X area, where you will find your destination. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel and check local conditions as some roads may be unpaved or require a 4WD in the rainy season.

• Public Transportation

  To reach ຂົວນ້ຳນ້ອຍ by public transportation, first take a local bus from Sam Neua to the nearest town, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Sam Neua and cost around 20,000 LAK (Lao Kip). Once you arrive at the town, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to take you the remaining 15 kilometers to ຂົວນ້ຳນ້ອຍ. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 LAK depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.

• Motorbike Rental

  For the more adventurous traveler, renting a motorbike in Sam Neua is a great option. Rental shops are available in the city, with prices ranging from 80,000 to 150,000 LAK per day. After renting a motorbike, follow the same route as by car: take Route 6 east for about 30 kilometers, then turn left onto Route 1 and continue for another 15 kilometers. Ensure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet for safety. Be cautious of road conditions and traffic.
