Car
If you have access to a car, start your journey from Luang Prabang city center. Head north on Sisavangvong Road (Route 13) towards the North. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the intersection with Route 23. Turn left onto Route 23 and continue for about 25 km. Look for signs to Xang Hai Village; you will turn right onto a smaller road leading into the village. Continue straight until you reach the Manifa Elephant Camp, located in Xang Hai Village, Sang Ha.

Public Transportation (Songthaew)
From the center of Luang Prabang, you can take a local songthaew (shared truck taxi) heading towards Xang Hai Village. The fare is typically around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK per person. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off near Manifa Elephant Camp. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Xang Hai Village, you may need to walk for about 10 minutes to reach the camp.

For a more private option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Luang Prabang to Manifa Elephant Camp. Negotiate the price beforehand; it will generally cost between 100,000 and 150,000 LAK for a round trip. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you arrange a return trip with the driver, as tuk-tuks may not be readily available in Xang Hai Village.
