Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Nong Khiaw. Head north on Route 1C for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you towards Sleeping Lady Peak. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads towards the mountain. Continue along this road, which may be rough in places, for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the base of the peak. Parking is free.
Public Transportation
To reach Sleeping Lady Peak by public transportation, first take a local bus or songthaew (a shared taxi) from the main bus station in Nong Khiaw heading north on Route 1C. Inform the driver you are going to Sleeping Lady Peak View-Point. The fare is usually around 10,000 LAK. Once you reach the drop-off point, you will need to walk the remaining 2 kilometers to the view-point along the road. The path may be uneven and hilly, so be prepared for some light hiking.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike directly to Sleeping Lady Peak from the center of Nong Khiaw. The hike will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your fitness level. Start your hike by heading north along the main road until you spot the signs for Sleeping Lady Peak. Follow the marked trail. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep and challenging.
