From Champasak town, Vat Phou is approximately 10 km away. You can rent a bicycle or motorcycle from your guesthouse for around 30,000-80,000 LAK per day. Alternatively, hire a tuk-tuk for about 20,000 LAK per person. Follow the road signs leading to Vat Phou. Bicycles can be taken onto the temple grounds.
From Pakse
From Pakse, Vat Phou is about 50 km away. You can book a day tour from a travel agency in Pakse for approximately 120,000 LAK, excluding the entrance fee. Alternatively, take an early morning songthaew from Daoheuang Market in Pakse to Champasak for around 20,000 LAK. From Champasak, rent a bicycle or tuk-tuk to reach Vat Phou. A taxi from Pakse to Vat Phou can cost around 45,000-50,000 LAK.
