Once in the city, navigate towards the Mekong River, and you will find Wat Xiengthong located at V4XV+277, Khem Khong, near the riverbank. Parking can be found nearby, but it may be limited, especially during peak tourist hours.

For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Oudomxay to Luang Prabang. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Oudomxay. The journey takes around 4-5 hours and costs approximately 60,000 to 100,000 LAK (Lao Kip). Once you arrive at the Luang Prabang bus station, you can either take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to the city center. It is about a 10-minute ride to Wat Xiengthong. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride, which should range between 20,000 to 40,000 LAK.
