Car
From the center of Phongsaly Province, take Route 4 heading north toward Kou Tchou Lin. After approximately 30 minutes, look for signs indicating the direction to ພູພັນແປດຮ້ອຍ 1800 Mountain. The mountain is about 10 km from the main road. Be prepared for a winding road with some steep sections. Parking is available near the base of the mountain.
Public Transportation
From Phongsaly town, you can take a local bus or a shared taxi heading towards Kou Tchou Lin. The fare is typically around 20,000 LAK (Lao Kip). Inform the driver you want to go to ພູພັນແປດຮ້ອຍ 1800 Mountain or look for signs during the route. Upon reaching the village, hire a motorbike taxi (around 15,000 LAK) to take you to the base of the mountain.
