Located in Chao Anouvong Park along the Mekong River in Vientiane, the bronze statue honors King Anouvong, the last monarch of the Kingdom of Vientiane, who is revered for his resistance against Siamese domination in the 19th century.

Walking
From the Presidential Palace, walk along the Mekong Shore Boardwalk towards the north. The King Anouvong Statue will be visible on your left within Chao Anouvong Park. The walk is approximately 500 meters and should take about 5-10 minutes.
Public Transport
From the Central Bus Station (Talat Sao), take bus Route 44 towards Wattay Airport. Alight near the Mekong River and walk a short distance to Chao Anouvong Park. The bus fare is 13,000 LAK.
Tuk-Tuk
If you are elsewhere in Vientiane, hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to the King Anouvong Statue on the Mekong Shore Boardwalk. Agree on a fare beforehand, typically ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 LAK depending on your starting point. The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the statue.
