Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Vang Vieng. Head southeast on the main road (Route 13) towards the direction of Tham Chang. Continue driving for about 4 kilometers until you see signs for Tham Chang. There is a small parking area at the entrance of the cave. Be aware that the road may be narrow and winding in some parts.

For those taking public transportation, look for a local songthaew (shared taxi). These can be found near the main bus station in Vang Vieng. Inform the driver that you want to go to Tham Chang. The ride should cost around 10,000 LAK per person and may take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The songthaew will drop you off at the entrance of the cave.
