Travel Guide to Kaeng Nyui Waterfall

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Vang Vieng. From Vang Vieng town center, take Route 13 southbound. After approximately 5 kilometers, turn right onto Route 13A, which leads you towards the Kaeng Nyui Waterfall. Follow the signs for about 10 kilometers until you reach the waterfall entrance. The road can be a bit bumpy, so drive cautiously. Also, make sure to have some cash on hand as there may be a small entrance fee for parking.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Kaeng Nyui Waterfall via public transportation, catch a minibus or songthaew (shared taxi) from Vang Vieng. These vehicles usually leave from the main bus station in Vang Vieng and head towards the waterfall. Ensure you inform the driver that you want to go to Kaeng Nyui Waterfall. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes, and the fare typically costs between 20,000 to 40,000 LAK (Lao Kip). Once you arrive at the waterfall entrance, you may have to pay a small entrance fee if applicable.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous travelers, renting a bicycle in Vang Vieng is an excellent option. From the town center, follow Route 13 south for about 5 kilometers and then take the right turn onto Route 13A. Cycling may take longer due to the road conditions, but it's a great way to experience the beautiful countryside. The total distance is approximately 15 kilometers one way. Ensure you have water and some snacks for the journey, and be prepared for some uphill cycling as you approach the waterfall area.
