Bicycle
Start from the center of Vang Vieng, near the main street where most shops and restaurants are located. Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Head east on the main road (Sengsavang Road) towards the direction of the Nam Song River. Continue straight, and after about 2 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the right path, and follow it until you see signs for Phaboun Cave. The cave entrance will be on your left after another 1 kilometer.

Walking
From the main street in Vang Vieng, walk east towards the Nam Song River. Once you reach the river, continue following it upstream along the dirt path. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at a fork in the path. Take the right path, and continue walking for another 20 minutes. You will see signs for Phaboun Cave along the way. The cave entrance will be on your left.

Tuk-Tuk
Find a tuk-tuk near the main square in Vang Vieng. Tell the driver you want to go to Phaboun Cave. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the entrance of the cave. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey.
