If you are starting from the center of Chanthabouly, head towards Lane Xang Avenue (also known as Khouvieng Road). From here, you can enjoy a pleasant walk towards the Mekong River. Once you reach the riverfront, continue walking along the Mekong Shore Boardwalk. The King Anouvong Statue is located on the boardwalk, so just follow the path until you see the statue. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 kilometers, which should take around 15-20 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chanthabouly. Start by heading towards Lane Xang Avenue and take the route towards the Mekong River. Once you reach the river, cycle along the Mekong Shore Boardwalk. The path is flat and scenic, making it a pleasant ride. The distance is about 1.5 kilometers, and it should take you around 10-15 minutes to reach the statue by bike.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more comfortable journey, you can hire a tuk-tuk. You can find tuk-tuks near popular spots or you can ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Tell the driver you want to go to the King Anouvong Statue on the Mekong Shore Boardwalk. The ride should cost around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK (Lao Kip) depending on your location in Chanthabouly and should take about 5-10 minutes.
