If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Xaisomboun Province, which is Xaisomboun town. Head southeast on Route 13 for about 30 km until you reach the junction for Naka. Take the left turn onto Route 7 and continue for approximately 12 km. You will see signs for Phapongkham cave. The final part of the journey involves a small dirt road leading directly to the cave entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Phapongkham cave using public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi from Xaisomboun town heading to Naka. The fare is typically around 20,000 LAK. Once you arrive in Naka, you can either walk or hire a motorbike taxi (around 10,000 LAK) to take you the final 5 km to the cave entrance. Make sure to ask the driver to take you to 'Phapongkham cave' as it may not be widely known.
