Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the town of Phonsavan, head south on Route 7 for approximately 25 kilometers. Once you reach the junction, take a right turn onto Route 5, which leads towards Vang Vieng. Continue for about 45 kilometers until you reach the small village of Kaeng Nyui. Look for signs that indicate the direction to Kaeng Nyui Waterfall. The waterfall is located approximately 2 kilometers from the village and can be accessed via a dirt road. Please note that this road may be bumpy, so drive carefully.

• Public Transportation

  From Phonsavan, take a local bus or shared taxi to Vang Vieng. The journey will take about 3-4 hours, and the cost is approximately 50,000 to 60,000 LAK. Upon arrival in Vang Vieng, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi to take you to Kaeng Nyui Waterfall. The fare for the tuk-tuk ride is around 100,000 LAK for a round trip. The driver will take you to the base of the waterfall, which is around 2 kilometers from the main road.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Vang Vieng. Rental rates typically range from 50,000 to 100,000 LAK per day. From Vang Vieng, head south on Route 5 towards Kaeng Nyui village. After about 45 kilometers, turn onto the dirt road leading to the waterfall. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as the dirt road may not be well marked. Riding a motorbike allows you to explore the area at your own pace.
