Breathtaking Views at Nam Xay Viewpoint

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Xieng Khouang (near the local market), head south on the main road towards the town of Phonsavan. Continue walking until you reach the junction at the main intersection. Turn left onto Route 7, which heads towards Naka. Follow this road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass a few small shops along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Nam Xay Viewpoint. When you see the sign, turn right onto a smaller road that leads uphill. This path will take you directly to the viewpoint. The hike takes about 30-45 minutes, and the views are absolutely stunning, so take your time!

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Xieng Khouang. Start your journey from the center of town, heading south towards Phonsavan. After about 4 kilometers on Route 7, look for the signs directing you to Nam Xay Viewpoint. Turn right onto the smaller road that leads uphill. The ride uphill can be a bit challenging, so be prepared for a workout! Once you reach the viewpoint, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and take some photos before heading back.

• Motorbike

  For those comfortable on a motorbike, you can rent one in Xieng Khouang. Start from the central area and head south on the main road towards Phonsavan. After approximately 4 kilometers, look for the sign for Nam Xay Viewpoint on your right. Turn onto the smaller road and follow it uphill. Be cautious as the road can be steep and winding. Once you arrive at the viewpoint, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
