Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Xieng Khouang, start at the main market, known as the Xieng Khouang Market. Exit the market and head south on the main road (Road 7). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kounxoau Road. Continue on Kounxoau Road for approximately 1 km. You will see Wat Xieng Mouane on your right side, marked by its distinctive architecture and large stupa.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the center of Xieng Khouang. Start at the Xieng Khouang Market and head south on Road 7. Cycle straight for about 1.5 km until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kounxoau Road. Continue cycling on Kounxoau Road for about 1 km. Wat Xieng Mouane will be on your right. There are bike racks nearby for you to park your bicycle safely.
