Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Cesis, head south on Rīgas iela towards the intersection with Lielā iela. At the intersection, turn left onto Lielā iela. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers. You will pass through a residential area. As you walk, keep an eye out for road signs indicating Ieriķi. Once you reach Ieriķi, you will see a sign for Gauja National Park. The entrance is located at Lielā iela 30, which will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Cesis. Start at the Cesis Castle and head southeast on Rīgas iela. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Lielā iela. Follow Lielā iela for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach Ieriķi. Look for the entrance to Gauja National Park, which will be on your right at Lielā iela 30.

  • Public Transport

    To get to Gauja National Park via public transport, head to the nearest bus stop in Cesis. Look for buses heading towards Ieriķi. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the Ieriķi stop. From there, walk about 500 meters down Lielā iela towards the park. The entrance to Gauja National Park will be at Lielā iela 30 on your left.
