An outstanding day in Sigulda! Valdis was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about the region. He went far beyond the usual tourist spots. We explored hidden trails, fascinating places, charming castle, and cozy cafés... A wonderful surprise was Valdis's beautifully preserved 100-year-old camera, a unique and memorable touch. The conversations throughout the day were just as enjoyable as the sightseeing, and his flexibility made the experience feel completely personalized. He even went above and beyond the original tour itinerary simply to make sure that it would be the best possible experience. I couldn’t recommend this tour and Valdis more highly!

Tours in Kemeri and Gauja

We booked two private tours from Riga in consecutive days: one to Kemeri and one to Gauja. Both are highly recommended, if you wish to go out of Riga and experience some of Latvia’s wonderful national parks but don’t have much time. The organisation was perfect and we felt in safe and capable hands at all moments. Our guide, Rolandts, is very knowledgeable about the various ecosystems we visited and a passionate environmentalist. He is a great conversionalist and fun to be with. We learnt a lot about Latvia’s history and culture from him.

We visited during the 3rd week of February 2026. Rihard has been an outstanding guide: knowledgeable, very kind and patient, always ready to help and answer our questions. His dogs are amazing and very well behaved. Our children (10 and 12) and we will never forget the thrill of the husky sledding and the fantastic walk in the woods and over the frozen lake.
