Getting there

Train

To reach Sigulda from Riga, head to the Riga Central Station (Rīgas Centrālā dzelzceļa stacija). You can take tram number 1 or bus number 22 from the city center to the station. Once at the Central Station, look for trains heading towards Sigulda. Trains to Sigulda depart regularly, about every half hour. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. When you arrive at Sigulda Station, exit the station and head straight towards the main road. From there, you can either walk to the town center or take a local bus to your specific destination.

Bus

From Riga, you can also take a bus to Sigulda. Head to the Riga International Bus Terminal (Rīgas Starptautiskā autoosta), which is located near the city center. You can reach the bus terminal by taking tram number 3 from the city center. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Sigulda. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at the Sigulda Bus Station, you can walk into the town or catch a local bus to your specific destination.

Bicycle

If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Riga and cycle to Sigulda. Head out of the city center towards the Daugava River and follow the cycling paths that lead towards Sigulda. The distance is approximately 50 kilometers, and the ride will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your speed. Make sure to bring water and snacks for the journey. The route is scenic, and you will pass through beautiful landscapes along the way.
