Walking
Start your journey from the Kuldiga center, specifically from the Kuldiga District Museum. Exit the museum and head northwest on Rīgas iela toward Liepājas iela. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the Kuldīga River. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the road, following the signs to Kurmāle parish. The path will lead you through a charming area with local shops and cafes. After approximately 25 minutes, you will see a sign for Sauleskalni. Turn left and walk about 5 more minutes, and you will reach your destination.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kuldiga. Start at the Kuldiga District Museum and head towards Liepājas iela. Turn onto the path that follows the Kuldīga River. This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes. After about 15 minutes of biking, you will notice a sign for Kurmāle parish. Follow the signs and continue for another 10 minutes until you reach Sauleskalni.
Public Transport
Although there may not be direct public transport to Sauleskalni, you can take a bus from the Kuldiga bus station to the nearest village. First, walk to the Kuldiga bus station located on the corner of Rīgas iela and Kuldīgas iela. Check the local bus schedule and take a bus heading toward Kurmāle. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach Sauleskalni. Follow the road signs toward Sauleskalni, and enjoy the scenic route.
