If you are driving from Daugavpils, take the A13 road towards Rīga. Follow the signs for Rīga and continue on A13 for approximately 180 km. As you approach Rīga, take the exit toward the city center. Continue straight onto the Krasta iela, then turn left onto Elizabetes iela. The Freedom Monument will be on your right at the intersection with Brīvības iela. There are several parking options in the nearby area.
Public Transportation
To reach the Freedom Monument using public transportation from Daugavpils, take a train from the Daugavpils railway station to Rīga. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Upon arriving at Rīga's central station, exit the station and head towards the city center. You can either walk (approximately 15 minutes) or take tram number 11 or bus number 22 to the 'Brīvības piemineklis' stop. The Freedom Monument is directly across the street from the stop.
Car
If you are coming from Jūrmala, take the A10 road towards Rīga. After about 25 km, merge onto the A1 road towards Rīga. Continue until you reach the city center, and follow the signs for the Freedom Monument. Once you enter the Central District, look for parking near the monument or use designated parking areas in the vicinity.
Public Transportation
From Rēzekne, take a bus to Rīga, which usually departs from the Rēzekne bus station. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once in Rīga, walk to the 'Rīga' bus station and take tram number 11 or bus number 22 to the 'Brīvības piemineklis' stop. The Freedom Monument is just a short walk from there.
