The Cat House is an architectural gem in Riga's Old Town, famed for its cat sculptures with arched backs and raised tails perched atop its turrets. Built in 1909, the building blends medieval and Art Nouveau styles. Legend says the cats were initially positioned to express the owner's resentment towards the Great Guild.

Walking
The Cat House is located on Meistaru iela in the heart of Old Town Riga, making it easily accessible on foot from most central locations. From Rātslaukums (Town Hall Square), walk northeast towards Vāgnera iela, then turn left onto Meistaru iela. Continue for about 5 minutes; the Cat House will be on your left at Meistaru iela 10/12. This is free of charge.
Public Transport
Several public transportation options can get you close to the Cat House. Take a tram (such as number 11 or 7) to the 'Pils iela' stop. From there, walk down Pils iela towards Meistaru iela, then turn left. The Cat House is about a 5-minute walk away. Alternatively, take bus number 22 to the 'Meistaru iela' stop. A single 90-minute e-ticket costs €1.50.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
