If you are starting from the central area of Riga, head towards the Freedom Monument located at Brīvības bulvāris. From the monument, walk down the street towards the Old City (Vecrīga). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Krišjāņa Barona iela. Turn right onto Krišjāņa Barona iela and walk until you reach the end of the street, where you will find Bastejkalna Park directly in front of you.

Catch tram number 5 or 7 from any tram stop in the city center that services these routes. Stay on the tram for approximately 5-7 stops, depending on your starting point. Get off at the 'Zinātņu Akademija' stop. From there, walk towards the river and cross the bridge. Bastejkalna Park will be right ahead as you cross the bridge, welcoming you with its lush greenery.

Take bus number 22 from the bus stop nearest to you that services this route. Ride for approximately 5-10 minutes and disembark at the 'Rīgas centrāltirgus' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the riverfront and follow the paths leading into Bastejkalna Park, which is located along the riverbank.
