Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at the Freedom Monument (Brīvības piemineklis), start by heading east along Brīvības iela. Continue straight for about 700 meters. At the end of the street, you will reach the intersection with Riharda Vāgnera iela. Turn left onto Riharda Vāgnera iela and walk for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Rātslaukums. The House of the Black Heads will be on your left at Rātslaukums 7.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Central Market (Centrāltirgus), exit the market and head towards the Daugava River. Walk along the riverfront (Daugavas krastmala) heading north for about 1 kilometer. You will see the iconic buildings of the Old Town ahead. Proceed to cross the bridge (Vanšu tilts) over the river. After crossing, continue straight onto Riharda Vāgnera iela, and then turn right onto Rātslaukums. The House of the Black Heads will be on your right at Rātslaukums 7.

  • Public Transport

    If you are near the Old City (Vecrīga), you can take tram number 5 or 7 from the stop 'Vecrīga' towards 'Mežaparks'. Get off at the stop 'Rātslaukums', which is just a short walk from the House of the Black Heads. Once you exit the tram, head towards the square, and the House of the Black Heads will be right in front of you at Rātslaukums 7.
