From Riga, head to Riga Central Station (Rīgas Centrālā Dzelzceļa Stacija), which is located at 1/3 Stacijas laukums. Take a train towards Jelgava. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for departure times. The journey lasts approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Jelgava Station, exit the station and turn right onto Zemgales iela. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lielā iela. Turn left onto Lielā iela, and you will find Jelgava Castle at number 2 on your left.

To get to Jelgava by bus, go to the Riga International Bus Station (Rīgas Starptautiskā Autoosta) located at 1, Prāgas iela. Purchase a ticket to Jelgava at the ticket counter or from the automatic machines. Buses to Jelgava depart regularly. The journey will take about 1 hour.
