Train
To reach Krimuldas Muiža in Sigulda from Riga, start by heading to the Riga Central Station (Rīgas Centrālā Dzelzceļa Stacija). You can reach the station by walking or taking a tram or bus. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Sigulda, which is a direct train ride. The trains to Sigulda run frequently, approximately every hour. After about 1 hour, you will arrive at Sigulda Station. From Sigulda Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, turning left onto Pils iela. Follow Pils iela until you reach the intersection with Mednieku iela. Turn right onto Mednieku iela, and continue walking for about 10 minutes. Krimuldas Muiža will be on your left at Mednieku iela 1.
Bus
For a bus option, head to the Riga International Bus Station (Rīgas Starptautiskā autoosta), located near the Central Railway Station. Purchase a ticket to Sigulda. Buses to Sigulda leave regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Sigulda Bus Station, exit and walk towards the main road. Turn left onto Pils iela and follow it until you reach Mednieku iela. Turn right onto Mednieku iela and continue for about 10 minutes. You will find Krimuldas Muiža on your left at Mednieku iela 1.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Riga. Start from the city center and head to the scenic route along the Daugava River. Follow the bike paths towards Sigulda, which is approximately 50 km away. The route takes you through beautiful landscapes and parks. Once you arrive in Sigulda, find your way to Mednieku iela. It’s recommended to use a map or a navigation app to ensure you stay on the bike paths and reach Krimuldas Muiža at Mednieku iela 1.
Walking
For those who want an adventurous option, consider hiking from Riga to Sigulda. Although this is a long distance (approximately 50 km), it can be done in a day if you are physically fit and well-prepared. Start your walk from the city center of Riga, following the paths towards the north. You can walk through parks and along riverbanks, enjoying nature. Once you reach Sigulda, navigate to Mednieku iela. This option is more suitable for experienced hikers and may require planning for food and water along the way.
